Unity The New Interface For Ubuntu Light And Ubuntu Netbook Edition

Canonical has announced two new versions of Ubuntu for the dual-boot Ubuntu Light for the PC desktop and Ubuntu Netbook 10.10. for netbooks.
The primary objective is to create a Canonical Ubuntu version starting in less than 10 seconds for the basic needs: e-mails, Internet chat or view photos or videos, all controlled by a new user interface " Unity ". This interface is based on a dock (like Docky) to the left of the screen called a simple click on the logo Ubuntu, and a panel placed at the top of the screen and will be used primarily by Global Menu and notification icons. The dock will launch or list the running applications.

This new interface Unity is already available for the latest version of Ubuntu 4.10 LTS and can be installed:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:canonical-dx-team/une
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install unity

Then simply disconnect and reconnect by selecting "Ubuntu Netbook Edition unity" of your login screen.
