Twitter says it has fixed a hacking trouble.
The short-messaging service declared the fix today after mysterious "tweets" of blocked-out text propagated themselves and made popup windows to open.
Twitter today says the attack has been "fully patched" and no longer functions.
The hack had been extra-nefarious, because the tweets activated without being clicked on — it was sufficient for net surfers to move their mouse cursors over the tweets.
The hack it only affected visitants to Twitter.com, however.
Different third-party programmes utilized to send and read tweets were unaffected.
