Make iOS4 Mount/Sync Working In Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat

If you are using Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat, and your iPhone / iPod device system version is iOS4, then you may be able to see the photos in the Nautilus, Rhythmbox or GTKPod but can not access your sound files.

In fact, Ubuntu itself support iPhone / iPod Touch devices, but the official source software in the relatively old and does not support iOS 4 version, by installing the software in the following PPA you can solve the problem. (But it may not support the iPhone / iPod Touch 4G devices)

sudo add-apt-repository ppa: pmcenery / ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Why the sudo apt-get dist-upgrade command?
Worked fine by just upgrading the relevant packages.

So run sudo apt-get upgrade instead of dist-upgrade.
