Dell has introduced two new servers for the U.S. market that have been customized to run services based on the Linux operating system, and more specifically Ubuntu.
The new Dell PowerEdge C2100 and C6100 with Ubuntu Technology Enterprise Cloud (UEC) from Canonical. Dell is marketing the servers to organisations developing applications to run on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The two Dell servers with Ubuntu have a preconfigured environment for testing and development.
Canonical also offers a variety of enterprise support subscription plans, which start at $1,175 per server per year.
