Winamp is closing down

Winamp is closing down
The renowned worldwide media player Winamp will close down one month from now, over 15 years after its beginning release. Despite the fact that Winamp in the end lost fame, in the late '90s and early 2000s it was one of the go-to media players for listening to local music or radio streams.

The application throws us back to our teen years (90s and early 00s), when we could download distinctive skins and modules to customize our music playing companion. Winamp was in the end purchased by Aol in 2002 from makers Nullsoft, and in spite of numerous endeavors to relaunch it with Mac and Android versions, the competition (i.e. iTunes) was just too strong.

Despite the fact that no official excuse for why has been given in regards to the up and coming conclusion, the site basically says "Thanks for supporting the Winamp community for over 15 years."

Are you going to miss it?
