Canonical has officially confirmed that Ubuntu Netbook Edition will be "merged" with Ubuntu for the next version.
Gerry Carr, Canonical's marketing manager, has indicated that this is not a "drop" to netbook users , and it is simply the result that Canonical has " recognized that the market has gone his own way "and that" images are no longer needed because the predictable various convergence of devices is getting closer . "
